Coming up next...

Originally I posted this update on my personal review and update blog, but last night I realized that this one should also go on the Crash 'n Klein site as well. Since I am still the writer (until the day of pure mutiny...), such news is worth spreading to our fans. The entire entry can be found here. That being said, if you don't want to slog through it all, I shall paraphrase...

November is NaNoWriMo (look it up...) which is typically reserved for novel writers. However, I am not in the novel writing mode (at the moment...) so I decided to change things up and challenge myself to a writing...challenge. For the entire month of November, I shall write one comic book issue a day (at least). That means dialogue, narrator blocks, and full scene description. If it matters, each issue COULD be treated as a chapter of a novel, but that's neither here nor there...

What does this mean? Simply, there shall be new written material, ready for our illustrious illustrators to illustrate at their leisure. Now, I will say it is easier to back log written work and have the artists catch up. While writing does involve a similar creative process as art does, alls I have to is put pen to paper and then let my ideas flow forth. Unfortunately, Jon and Jesse have to story board (to which I am learning to help with...), pencil it, ink line it, shade it, further detail it, color it if need be, letter it, scan it in, and upload. Needless to say, right now, I've got the easier jobs (writer, editor, president, face, emperor, consultant, motivator...). No joke...

Same comic NEW style!!

Hey internet! long time no see. Just thought I'd give you an update on our current team happenings!

I've spent a bit of time over the past couple of weeks teaching myself flash. And the fruit of my labors is a brand new way for us to display our comics on the internet. Here is a link to my first reformatted comic, The Denim Avenger Issue 1:

It will also be available in our comics section quite soon.

Jesse and I are working Dilligently on CosMick, our newest title (and if I might say, our best work to date) we've really committed to a production schedule, and despite us both having full time obligations it will be available at our next convention stop.

Nick is writing and re-writing a multitudinous heap of stories; I don't want to give too much away, but we've been talking about an old newspaper style strip type detective comic with a few twists.

Also: there are new pictures in the CrashnKlein sightings section of our forum, behold!

Here It Comes

This one is for you, faithful readers. This update is for all those who have stuck by Crash N Klein Comics, despite:
- Lack of concrete updates...
- Lackluster forum activity...
- Little in the way of solid product for you to enjoy...

So, that being said, the man affectionately known as 'The Prez', Nick Witte, is moving back to the state of Maryland in about a week with firmer roots being put down in July. What does this potentially pointless piece of particularization mean? This means that, instead of being 5 hours away from the rest of the Team in Ithaca, The Witteman will be between 1 and 2 hours away. This will (hopefully) lead to:

- More face to face meetings...
- Hours of sit down production time...
- Pages upon pages done and progress made on our major fronts...

I for one am looking quite forward to getting back into the saddle and churning out some work. Though we've said it before, Denim Avenger #1 Remix is a mere page and an info page away from completion (minus printing/posting, of course). CosMick is still moving along, but busy schedule interfere with a very complicated publication. You understand, yes?

Also on the docket, whilst CosMick is in varying stages of completion, keep an eye out for Tales from Centropolis. This is a re-imagining of our short story title (for a time) into strip form for online publication. It will also be available for viewing both here and on DrunkDuck.com once we get them done. I will say, however, that ToC will not be available until at least August. We are creating a backlog of strips before the unveiling. Savvy?

Well, CnK-ites, that's what's new out here in our world. There are positive things in the works, believe me. Patience is indeed a virtue.

Your Buddy,
Crash

"Test Test. check 1 check 2"

So the other day Nick says to me, "Jon" he says,"We really should think of bringing a good camera to all the conventions we go to". And that got me thinking, I have a CamCorder, Why haven't I been using it?

Just to make sure that all of my equipment and software still works I slapped this test video together. Nothing Special, but it's got a beat you can dance to. Hopefully this will be the first of many videos that allow you to see behind the curtain of Crash'n'Klein Comics.
